The bright blossoms in this vase are borrowed from Claude Monet's (1840–1926) Bouquet of Sunflowers (1881), a cheerful still life in The Met collection. Monet exhibited the painting at the Impressionist exhibition of 1882 to critical acclaim. He was also admired by Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853–1890), who wrote in 1888: “Gauguin was telling me the other day - that he had seen a painting by Claude Monet of sunflowers in a large Japanese vase, very nice. But - he likes mine better. I am not of that opinion."   Height: 21.5 cm diam. 10.2cm Luxury Gift Box   Clean with a damp cloth and dry with a soft, clean cloth.

Our tea towel features the ecstatic blossoms from a spring bouquet by Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853–1890). In May 1890, shortly before his departure from the Saint-Rémy asylum, the artist painted four outstanding still lifes, including the exuberant composition Irises (1890) in The Met collection. These bouquets were imagined as a decorative ensemble, like the suite of sunflowers the artist made earlier in Arles.   55% linen 45% cotton - Length: 72 cm x Width: 46 cm - Machine washable

Dated 1883 and printed c.1917–23 at the Merton Abbey Tapestry Works (UK, established 1881), Strawberry Thief is one of the most iconic works of William Morris (UK, 1834–1896). The inspiration for this kaleidoscopic fabric came from the designer's country home, Kelmscott Manor, where a community of gum "thieves" used to harvest the strawberries from his garden!   55% linen 45% cotton - Length: 72 cm x Width: 46 cm - Machine washable

Vincent van Gogh's iconic irises feature on these striking cork placemats. Shortly before his departure from the Saint-Rémy asylum in May 1890, the artist created four bright spring bouquets, including the exuberant Irises (1890) in the Museum's collection of European paintings. Van Gogh tried to achieve a "harmonious and soft" effect by placing the "violet" flowers on a "pink background", but due to the use of fugitive red pigments, these colors have since faded.   Waterproof coating - Cork backing   Length: 30.5 cm x Width: 40.5 cm

Our floral scarf borrows the flowers from one of Vincent van Gogh's (Dutch, 1853–1890) favorite bouquets in The Met collection. In May 1890, shortly before his departure from the Saint-Rémy asylum, the artist painted four extraordinary still lifes, including the exuberant Irises (1890). Van Gogh tried to achieve a "harmonious and soft" effect by placing the "violet" flowers on a "pink background." Due to the use of fugitive red pigments, these colors have since faded over time.

An artistic scarf inspired by The Met collection. This stunning double-sided scarf reproduces two vibrant oil paintings by Edgar Degas (French, 1834–1917) in The Met collection. A Woman Seated by a Vase of Flowers (1865) depicts a lady—probably the wife of Degas's childhood friend Paul Valpinson—lost in thought beside a bursting bouquet. The unusual composition exemplifies the artist's attempt to capture his subjects in fleeting moments of life. The back of the scarf has one of Degas' favorite subjects. The Dance Lesson (1874) depicts ballerinas and their mothers waiting as a dancer performs a pose for her examination by ballet master Jules Perrot.   100% silk Square 104 cm.
